Taluqan (BNA) Armed Taliban launched a series of attacks last night from three positions at the entrance gate of Taluqan city, which faced with security forces resistance.
Hamed Mobarez, spokesman for the governor of Takhar, told BNA that 15 insurgents were killed in the clash, which lasted five hours.
According to him, 20 other Taliban were wounded in the clashes.
A spokesman for the Takhar governor added that one soldier was martyred and two others were wounded in the incident.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
