Taliban Attack Repulsed in Kunduz

Kunduz (BNA) The Kunduz police chief said that a Taliban attack on the provincial capital, Kunduz, has failed yesterday.

According to BNA, in the past 48 hours, Taliban insurgents attacked security and defense checkpoints in the outskirts of Kunduz, and clashes continued in several resistances between the parties involved, eventually repelling the attack, Kunduz police chief General Farid Ahmad Mashal told a news conference.

Twenty-six insurgents were killed and more than 30 others were wounded in the incidents, Mashal added.

The Kunduz police chief assured the citizens of the province that there were enough security and defense forces and urged them not to be intimidated by the enemy’s rumors and to continue their normal lives.
