Taliban Fighting for Outsiders’ Interests: VP Saleh

Kabul (BNA) Addressing a meeting of Kandahar’s Arghandab district residents on Thursday, first Vice President Amrullah Saleh said that Taliban are being equipped in Pakistan and that they are fighting for outsiders’ interest.

“Taliban, who are being equipped in Pakistan, are fighting for the interests of strangers, which is causing misery to the people of our country,” VP Saleh said, referring to the Taliban’s war and terror in Arghandab district.

He added: “We are ready to sacrifice of remaining office term for the sake of lasting and dignified peace in the country,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rohullah Khanzadah, governor of Kandahar, Haji Mohammad head of Arghandab district people’s council welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation, thanking the President for his attention and sympathy, and shared their information and suggestions with the President regarding the problems of the people of Arghandab and the losses caused by the Taliban war.

The President of the country, after listening to their speeches and proposals, once again expressed his condolences to the affected people and displaced families in Arghandab district and said that the district will be given priority in the national agenda and Citizen’s Charter program.
