Herat (BNA) An armed Taliban insurgent was arrested for plotting to shoot security troops in the city of Herat.
The perpetrator of the Taliban targeted assassinations in the Karizak area of Herat was trying to shoot security forces, but was identified before the shooting and was arrested just as he was trying to escape, while he was wounded.
The Herat police media office told BNA that the assailant tried to assassinate security forces but failed.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
