Faizabad (BNA) A local Taliban commander in Badakhshan, blamed for dozens of deadly terrorist attacks, was arrested along with his five men.
Qari Zubair was the leader of a group of 25 Taliban in Argo district.
Badakhshan police spokesman Sanaullah Rouhani told BNA that Qari Zubair had been arrested by security forces during an operation.
He said that Qari Zubair was responsible for several landmines, bombings and killings of civilians in Badakhshan.
