Herat (BNA) Twelve Taliban insurgents were killed in an operation by Afghan defense and security forces in Herat.
Spokesman for 207Zafar Corps told BNA that the Taliban were killed in an operation by defense and security forces in the Obe district of Herat province.
The source added that three other insurgents were wounded in the operation.
According to another report, security and defense officials discovered and defused eight Taliban-laden mines in the Pashtun Zarghun and Chesht Sharif districts of Herat.
