Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Eighteen armed Taliban were killed in Balkh yesterday.
The 209th Shaheen Corps told BNA that the Taliban were killed in an air strike in the Hewad area, on the Balkh-Jawzjan highway.
The source added that two other insurgents were wounded in the attack and some of their weapons were destroyed.
