Herat (BNA) In the latest fighting in Herat, 20 Taliban members were killed and 17 others were wounded.
The fighting took place last night following a large-scale Taliban attack on the Zanda Jan district bazaar.
The Zafar Army Corps says in a news release that 20 Taliban members were killed and 17 others were wounded in the fighting.
The air force, reportedly targeted the attackers following a Taliban attack on a civilian and military base in Herat.
The Taliban, however, do not accept heavy casualties in the fighting, saying they have inflicted casualties on security forces.
