Jawzjan (BNA) Twenty Taliban insurgents were killed in airstrikes in Jawzjan last night, injuring 12 others.
Jawzjan police spokesman told BNA that the airstrikes took place in the villages of Qara Buin, Murghab, Hassan Tabin and Eidmeh Qala in Sheberghan, killing 20 Taliban insurgents and wounding 12 others.
The source added that the airstrikes destroyed an important Taliban base and several of their vehicles.
Scattered clashes between the Taliban and security forces are said to continue in a number of southern areas of Sheberghan
