Jalalabad (BNA) Twenty-six insurgents were killed in the latest fighting in Nangarhar, and a number of others were wounded.
The Taliban were targeted in Shirzad, Durbaba and Khogyani districts last night.
Colonel Safi Pardis, commander of the 1st Border police, which is leading part of the fight against the Taliban in Nangarhar, told BNA that the Taliban in Nangarhar had been suppressed and had lost their past movements.
However, security sources confirm that 26 Taliban insurgents were killed and several others were wounded in Nangarhar.
