Jalalabad (BNA) Eighteen Taliban members were killed in a military operation in Nangarhar, and nine other Taliban were wounded.
Another Taliban member was arrested in the incident.
According to reports, special security forces attacked on four Taliban headquarters in the Surkhrod and Hasakah Mina districts.
The attack was conducted by heavy fighting between the two sides.
Nangarhar press office said in a news release that 18 militants had been killed and nine others wounded in the operation.
Three Pakistani Taliban insurgents are also said to have been killed.
Security forces say the operation razed four Taliban strongholds with all their military equipment.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
