Ghazni (BNA) Five Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike in Ghazni.
According to reports, the Taliban wanted to plant a mine in Ghazni city on the Kabul-Kandahar highway which was targeted by the air force yesterday.
Ghazni security source told BNA that five Taliban militants were killed in the airstrike.
He said the Taliban intended to organize a series of deadly incidents to civilians by planting mines on the Kabul-Kandahar highway.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
According to another report, four armed Taliban were killed in the latest sporadic fighting in Ghazni.
The Taliban were targeted last night in Dehyak and Ander districts while engaged in terrorist activities.
