Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Taliban shadow governor for Chamtal District, Balkh with his six colleagues was killed last night.
Mohammad Hanef Rezaee Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, the Taliban were killed in clearing operation of commando forces in Alizai region, Chamtal District, Balkh.
During the operation, several villages of the mentioned district have been cleared from insurgents.
Another report says, five Taliban were killed in an air raid in Shortapa district, Balkh.
A hideout of the insurgents has been destroyed in the operation as well.
