Taliban Sustained Casualties in Helmand Battles

Lashkargah (BNA) Taliban suffered heavy casualties in the latest battles in Helmand.
These battles took place mostly after airstrikes and ground forces attacks on Taliban positions and convoys in Greshk, Nawa and Lashkargah districts.
A senior Maiwand Corps official in the southwest told BNA that forty-six Taliban insurgents had been killed and dozens more wounded in the fighting.
Seven commanders and 11 Pakistani members of the Taliban were among those killed.
The senior military official says that in these attacks, the five Taliban bases with all their weapons were razed to the ground.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
According to another report, the security forces prevented a series of explosions in Helmand by detecting and neutralizing 23 mines.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings
