Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Thirteen Taliban insurgents were killed in Chahar Boldak district of Balkh yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaei, spokesman for 209th Shaheen Corps, told BNA that the Taliban were killed during a joint air and security operation backed by the air force in Soryan village of Chahar Boldak district of Balkh province.
Rezaei added that four other insurgents were wounded in the operation, and forty-two suspected Taliban members were arrested.
Their motorcycle was seized by security forces.
