Third Round of Buzkashi League Started Officially In presence IEA High-Ranks Official

KABUL (BNA) Buzkashi League officially started between 12 provinces in which 195 Pahlawan Participted from all our the country.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of Afghanistan National Television, Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Anas Haqqani Islamic Emirate’s high-rank official were attended in the opening a ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Games, Ahmadullah Wasiq, said that National Television is the home of all Afghans, adding that this is the first time that the Buzkashi League has been established by National Television after the rule of the Islamic Emirate.

Waseiq thanked the sponsors of the Afghan Wireless Company and Kardan University.

Nazar Mohammad Mutmeen, President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, thanked the National Buzkashi Federation for its cooperation with National Television and said, “I am pleased to see the Buzkashi League being held in the country once again and we promise all athletes that we will not allow anyone to Interfere in the work of the judges and cause disorder.

Mutmeen added that Buzkashi is one of the traditional games of our country which is promoted in the northern and central regions of Afghanistan and we will try to spread this game in all provinces from north to south from east to west, He express his special gratitude to Pahlawan of the games who were able to come to Kabul in these difficult conditions and cold weather by accepting all the assignments and participating in the Buzkashi League.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Anas Haqqani gave a speech and thanked all the officials arranging the league, saying that Buzkashi is one of our historical and national games and the Islamic Emirate will try to spread this game throughout the country.

Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Zabihullah Mujahid, Stating audience, said that the sport of Buzkashi is one of the best traditions of Afghanistan and brings relatives closer to Afghanistan.

He added that the Afghan Buzkashi national team is a symbol of all ethnic groups in Afghanistan and represents a single Afghanistan, and called on all athletes to consider sports ethics throughout the league.

According to the officials of the Buzkashi Federation, these competitions will continue for ten days 10 days starting today in Kabul Buzkashi Square, with the aim of selecting the best figures for the Buzkashi national team and the growth of this sport in the country.The games will be lives broadcasting by national television.
