Jalalabad (BNA) Construction work on 12 development projects in Chaparhar district of Nangarhar began today.
These projects include construction of irrigation canals and water supply networks, drinking water supply networks, retaining walls, ditches, culverts and deep water wells, and the repair of a number of side alleys.
Mohammad Siddiq Dawlatzai, Chaparhar district governor, told BNA that the construction of these projects would cost 30 million Afghanis.
He said that with the construction of these projects, some of the local problems of the villagers will be solved.
These projects are scheduled to be put into operation in the next six months.
