Twenty-One Insurgents Killed

Lashkargah (BNA) Twenty-one insurgents, including 13 members of al-Qaeda network were killed in an airstrike in Helmand.

Al-Qaeda members trained with Taliban  insurgents on mines, bombs and suicide vests at the  joint headquarters of this group in Popalzai in Khanshin district that were targeted by security forces.

Senior Atal Corps official in south told BNA that 13 al-Qaeda members and eight insurgents has been killed in the airstrike.

Senior Taliban commander named Mullah Ulfat is said to have been wounded in the air strike.
