Faizabad (BNA) The National Water Regulatory Authority of Afghanistan says that the construction work of “Farhad and Sarshahr canals in the Shurabak dam in Badakhshan is progressing rapidly.
These canals will be built to manage water, irrigate agricultural lands and create jobs for the people and the construction work is up to 70% advanced, in the future, these canals will have the capacity to irrigate 3,000 hectares of land, said Nezamuddin Khaplavak, a spokesman for the office, six thousand families will benefit from facilities of the projects.
It should be noted that the construction costs of these canals are financed by the government development budget.
