Jalalabad (BNA) Nangarhar national security officer was shot dead by unidentified gunmen.
The officer was shot dead by assailants in Jalalabad this morning as he was on his way home from duty.
Nangarhar security source told BNA that the attackers have escaped.
The identity of the Nangarhar national security official has not yet been revealed.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the assassination, but senior Afghan government officials have blamed the Taliban for increasing terrorist attacks, including targeted assassinations.
