US Provides 3.3m Johnson & Johnson COVID Vaccine to Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) The United States is providing 3.3 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine to Afghanistan through COVAX.
US embassy in Kabul in a statement said, the first 1.48 million doses arrived in Kabul yesterday to help our partners at the Ministry of Public Health to stem the third wave of the pandemic nationwide.
This gift of vaccines is just the latest demonstration of United States’ Enduring Partnership with Afghanistan and its people, including our efforts to preserve Afghans’ achievements of the past 20 years as well as our development, economic, civilian, humanitarian, and security assistance, the statement added.
