Water Supply Network Constructed in Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) With construction of three water supply networks in Kandahar,  drinking water provided to dozens of families.

These networks were built in Spin Boldak district near Durand Line.

These networks are powered by solar energy and carry water from drilled wells and springs to the corners of Haji Zaraq area through pipes.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, within the framework of the Citizenship Pact program, spent two million and four hundred thousand Afghanis to build these water supply networks.

An official from Kandahar Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that with the construction of these networks, one hundred and forty-five families access to safe drinking water for the first time.

The villagers are happy with the construction of these networks and say that they have been suffering from diseases for years due to use of dirty water.
