Water Supply Project Worth 82 Million Afghanis Launched in Takhar

Kabul (BNA) Water supply project for 14 villages of Pasaband Rustaq district was inaugurated by Takhar governor yesterday.

According to BNA, the project of constructing a water transmission pipeline, which covers an area of 85 square kilometers, will provide safe drinking water to more than 3,645 families in fourteen villages that are difficult to cross.

Work on the large project began in 2018 and cost 82 million Afghanis funded by the Swedish International Development Agency, the Swedish people and the World Food Organization.

This is the largest project ever implemented in Takhar by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan and it is very important and we appreciate the sincere work of the Swedish Committee,” said Takhar Governor Abdullah Qarluq during the inauguration of the project.
