Kabul (BNA) Members of the Wolesi Jirga (Lower House) have rejected the draft budget for the new fiscal year 1400 (2021) for second time.
According to BNA report, the finance and budget committee of Parliament said the government has not brought any change to the amended draft budget.
The committee added, the government also added two more articles to the draft budget which were not acceptable to Members of Parliament.
After Wolesi Jirga (Lower Houses of the Parliament) rejected the budget document for the first time, the government takes over 36 billion Afs from International Monetary Fund, but details of how the money will be spent are unclear.
The budget for the fiscal year 1400 that was submitted to the parliament by the government estimated a total of Afs 452 billion ($5.8 billion).
