Trenkot (BNA) A group of assailants attacked the center of the joint military command in Arzegan.
According to reports, first a car bomb exploded in front of the center in Sufian village of Trincot, and then a group of assailants clashed with the security forces.
An Uruzgan security source, who denied his name, told BNA that the blast had caused casualties but that the exact amount was not clear.
Most parts of the military base were destroyed in the blast.
Our local correspondent in the central city of Uruzgan reported that reinforcements had reached the area and that the battle between the attackers and the security forces is continuing.
