Kabul (BNA) Lower House of national assembly summoned security officials in a session held on Saturday.
Members of the House sought details from officials of national defense, interior and national directorate of security related to current situations of the country, threats and enemies activities in various areas of Afghanistan and insecurity in the country.
In the session, members of the house praised Rahmatullah Nabeel, acting chief for national security directorate for his works and achievements.
“Since Rahmatullah Nabeel was appointed as acting chief of national directorate of security, NDS has had good achievements as activities of enemies have cut down, lots of plans spoiled, suicide and group attacks prevented, many terrorist groups arrested and submitted to law enforcement bodies and infiltration of enemies in security organs reduced and attacks have been minimized,” members of the house said.
Praising efforts made by acting chief of NDS, Hameed Lali, a member of the house asserted although Rahmatullah Nabeel had not received vote of confidence yet, he followed his tasks with full care.
“If acting chief of NDS gets vote of confidence from the house and officially starts his work as chief of NDS, he will really show good accomplishments, adding we as members of the house promise to support chief of NDS and vote him in the house,” Lali said.
It is worth mentioning that such praising of the house shows that not only members of national assembly are supporting security organs of the country but also Afghan people’s support has increased in the past few years in the country.
