Afghanistan Seeks Friendly Relations With Iran, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani presided over a session reviewed the activities of the five committees on Afghanistan-Iran cooperation here yesterday, a presidential statement said.
The meeting which was also attended by the Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani, deputy minister on human resources and administration of the ministry of foreign affairs Nasir Ahmad Andisha and Eng. Fahimullah Zeyaee deputy minister of energy and water, presented the water and security committee’s report to the session.
As per the presidential statement, they expressed satisfaction over the first phase of the meetings held in Tehran, saying the next phase would be held in Kabul.
Meanwhile President Ghani hearing the reports said Afghanistan wanted friendly relations with neighboring Iran, adding such relations would be further bolstered when the cooperation agreement being signed between the two countries.
