Farah City (BNA) Six Afghan National Policemen (ANP) were martyred when a group of Taliban militants attacked on their checkpoint in western Farah province last night.
Six attackers were killed and nine others were wounded following the attack.
Iqbal Baher spokesman of police headquarter in Farah told BNA correspondent, the incident took place while a group of Taliban rebels attacked on Afghan security forces’ checkpoint in Sheb Koh district of the province, in which five attackers were killed and 9 others were injured.
Baher also confirmed the martyrdom of five policemen in the event.
It has been said, now security situation is better in the area and Afghan security forces are there.
