KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has declared openly the collection and burning of above 6 tons of expired materials in five provinces of the country on Thursday.
n a press release the Ministry said the commission of the Ministry prevented the production, import and supply of substandard and counterfeit goods in order to identify substandard and outdated materials, this week, they conducted surveys in five provinces of the country.
During the commissions’ inspections, more than 28 cartons of energy, acid and other foodstuffs, and a quantity of food and non-alcoholic beverages from the markets of Maidan Wardak and Bamyan provinces were collected and confiscated from a number of shops and wholesalers in Jalalabad , added the Ministry.
The the press release states that more than 6 tons of expired, substandard and counterfeit food items were collected from the markets of Faizabad and Zaranj, which later burned.
The commission of the Ministry headed by the membership of 10 departments in the center and provinces of the country, conducts regular inspections of the market situation in accordance with the law on consumer protection.
