Kabul (BNA) One of the achievements of government during recent ten years is establishment and expansion of private education in the county that beside government ones began their activities countrywide.
This was stated by the president in his 15-days radio speech addressed to Afghan nation.
The president suggested that beginning the activities of private educational institutions increased the level of education inside the country and now, our thousands adolescent youths are engaged in education affairs.
He added that it is pleasure for us that ground is prepared even in remotest areas for education of our off springs. But beside this, we are expecting our off springs to get good and standardized education in these private higher institutions.
When they graduated from these institutions, should find good employment based on their good talent and higher education and their certificates be accepted in and abroad as well.
The President also stated that the condition for entrance into private higher institutions, teaching methods, quorum, employment of teachers and supervision over their education process should be based on developed academic standard and should respond to today’s requirements of our society and the cadres be trained for Afghanistan so we rescue from others’ needs.
Promotion and development of today and tomorrow Afghanistan is linked with the talents and skills of these students. Considering this requirement, the ministry of higher education of the country should make effort to supervise the academic affairs of private institutions and the youths who graduated from these institutions should enjoy from the condition that can be accepted everywhere and by every government institutions, the president elucidated.
At the same time, based on information released by the ministry of higher and vocational education, today, 35 private higher institutions are registered by this ministry and about thirty thousand students are engaged in studying in different fields.
According to these authorities, as a war-weary country, Afghanistan is facing with serious challenges that one of them is the limitation and shortcoming of capacity at higher education level.
But, considering the constitution of Afghanistan, we believe that this opportunity be given to the higher education institutions so they work and assistance be rendered to it, that since five years, the first private higher education institution (Kardan) and the American Afghan university began their activities that fortunately today, we are the witnesses of further activities of these educational institutions in the country.
A great number of people express their happiness about the increase of private institutions in Kabul city and say that no doubt, during recent years, the higher institutions did to take active part beside government institutions.
They evaluate useful the establishment of such higher education institutions and support their activities.
Existence of private institutions beside government ones paves the way for resuming of education by those great number people specially by youth that are remained far from education.
