NPC Approves Procurement Draft For Investment

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held extraordinary meeting at the presidential palace the other day, a statement from the president office.
According to the statement, the suggesting draft of the national procurement administration named ‘procurement for investment’ and its execution on contracts of the ministries of defense and interior in 1397 fiscal year were discussed and principally approved by the commission.
At the outset, Eng, Elham Omar Hotaki, general head of national procurement administration spoke about background, base and general goals, adding the first round of a section of procurement reforms in ministries of defense and interior have been completed, the statement added.
National procurement administration has suggested the second section of reforms under new innovation of procurement for investment to NPC, aims at management coherence and prevention of possible risks in implementation of contracts in the center, army corpses and different zones of the ministries of defense and interior, the statement continued.
Besides, the NPC members stressed on further accuracy on standards, tax clearance, logistics and equipment capacities of companies, annual transaction level and their evaluations.
Welcoming the mentioned draft, the ministries of defense and interior declared their readiness to help practice it, the statement added.
At the end, lauding codification of the mentioned draft.  President Ghani said in consider with suggestions presented by the meeting participants, attention should be paid on implementation of the policy, the statement said.
