Attack on Gurdwara in Kabul Ends with All the Assailants Kill

KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Interior said that one Sikh citizen was killed and seven people wounded during an attack on Gurdwara in capital Kabul early on Saturday.

MoI spokesman, Abdul Nafi Takoor told BNA that a number of unidentified assailants attacked a Sikh temple in Karta-e-Parwan area of Kabul around 6:30am this morning.

He said that the attackers first targeted the temple guards with hand grenades to force their way to inside the building. The attack immediately caused fire and seven people from Sikh community injured as result, he said.

Kabul police said that the attack on the Gurdwara ended with all the assailants shot dead by security forces.

ThePolice spokesman, Khalid Zadran said that Afghan forces were able to control the attack quickly and prevented more casualties.

He confirmed seven injuries in the incident and said that one of the security personnel also lost his life during the operation.
