Kabul (BNA) The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Afghanistan inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan the other day, BNA reported. The agreement was inked by Mohammad Fahim Hashimi, head of National Olympic Committee with his Turkmenistan counterpart during President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani two-day visit to Ashgabat and his meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. Under the MoU the Olympic Committee of both the countries would have cooperation in holding sport matches, exchange of delegations on promoting sports and facilitating Afghan Athletes to contest and exercise in Turkmenistan sport camps. After inking MoU, Fahim Hashimi hoped that inking the agreement would help promote sports in Afghanistan. Turkmenistan has already agreed with participation of the Afghan athletes in Asia Saloon in 2017 and inking MoU would further boost cooperation between the two nations.
