VP Danesh Calls For Solution of Afghan Pilgrims Visiting Iraq

Kabul (BNA) The second vice president Sarwar Danesh in meeting with the deputy foreign minister of Iraq, Omar Ahmad Karim Al-Barzanji here the other day sought the solution of the problems of Afghans visiting the sacred places and shrines in Iraq, BNA reported.
One of the aspects that get the two countries closer is the existence of sacred places and shrines in Iraq, the vice president said, adding the two countries can also boost trade and economic relations.
The Iraqi diplomat in the meeting hoped that relations between Islamic countries particularly Iraq and Afghanistan would get closer and all the problems would be solved.
He also predicted the defeat of Daesh and other terrorist groups who are misusing the name of Islam to defame the sacred religion. Iraq ambassador to Afghanistan who was present in the meeting said that there is memorandum of understanding between the two countries on tourism and visiting sacred places in Iraq and hoped that Afghanistan government to facilitate its implementation.
