2nd Coordination Meeting of UN In Afghanistan Held

Kabul (BNA) The second coordination meeting of the United Nations to Afghanistan was held here with foreign minister Dr. Zalmai Rassoul on the chair and UN Secretary General special envoy John Kubis. 
In the meeting where high-ranking officials from government ministries and international agencies attended, Dr. Rassoul noted that Afghanistan with UN support had tremendously achievements over the past decade. 
Meantime, in his speech the UN special envoy besides assuring the world body’s support to Afghanistan stated the UN commitment to Afghanistan requires the implementation of commitments made at Tokyo and other international conferences to Afghanistan. 
The UN envoy also termed corruption as a challenge and called for respecting human rights, war on drug and good governance. 
He also stressed for the support of UN to Afghanistan during the decade of change. 
Meantime, spokesman for foreign ministry, Janan Mosazai in talks with media said that the aim of this meeting was bringing coordination between Afghan government and the United Nations agencies.
