Kabul (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Zalmai Rasoul paid a visit to Rome and held meeting with this Italian counterpart Jolio Tersi, yesterday.
In the meeting matters relating mutual interests including enhancing cooperation between the two nations came under discussions.
The foreign minister while thanking Italy for its contribution to Afghanistan, saying Italy is the first European country that had inked long-term strategic partnership with Afghanistan.
The Italian top diplomat in the meeting had assured Rome’s firm support to Afghanistan, adding Italy would continue to support Afghanistan in the field giving training to security forces, judiciary and reconstruction.
