Kabul (BNA) Hekmat Khalil Karzai political deputy of foreign ministry of Afghanistan met Ms. Parnilla Kardel, UN Secretary General’s political Deputy and especial Representative for Afghanistan, yesterday here in Kabul.
Karzai besides welcoming Ms. Kardel, congratulated her for the designated position as UNAMA deputy, and is expected to utilize her previous good experiences in diplomacy, and help in strengthening and expanding Afghanistan’s relation in various areas, were discussed in the meeting.
Political deputy Karzai, despite appreciating UN’s permanent and multilateral cooperation to Afghanistan, added that, from the beginning of NUG onwards, better and practical steps had been taken for creative coordination and effective activities of the UN. Ms. Kardel expressed her gratitude over the meeting with Hekmat Khalil Karzai, emphasized that she would make efforts for strengthening cooperation of the UN with Afghanistan and its people. Political and security issues were also discussed in this meeting.
