Gul-e-Arghawan Festival Held In Parwan

Charikar (BNA) The traditional festival of Gul-e-Arghawan was opened in Tapai Gulghundi area of Parwan’s provincial capital Charikar yesterday with the participation of minister of information and culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen.
Attended among others by some lawmakers and cultural figures, the governor of Parwan province Abdul Basir Salangi welcomed the guests in his speech.
In his address, Dr. Raheen pointed out that Gul-e-Arghawan festival history which dates back to centuries ago has been recognized as an historic day with the efforts of Parwan’s legislators especially Mrs. Zakia Sangin and Samia Sadat.
Raheen also added that Afghanistan with having scenery places can attract thousands and even millions of tourists in future which is important for the improving living condition of the people.
Lawmaker Zakia Sangin, Ishaq Faiz and some poets from Parwan, Panjshire and Kapisa also spoke and presented their poems in the festival.
