Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his entourage performed Umra the other day, the President Press Office in a statement said BNA.
The President after performing ritual around Kaaba and offering prayer at Masjid Nabawi also prayed for strengthening lasting peace and security in Afghanistan, the statement further said. President Ghani who is leading a high ranking delegation after landing at Malik Abdul Aziz international Airport the other day was warmly received by Khalid Al-Faisal the Amir of Jeddah, the statement added. Afghanistan President after meeting Ayad Madani the secretary general of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) in Mecca visited Riyadh and held meeting with Khadimul Haramain Sharifain Hi Majesty Malik Salman Bin Abdul Aziz the ruler of Saudi Kingdom and other officials including the crown prince and interior minister Amir Mohammad Bin Naef and exchanged views on matters pertaining mutual interests, the statement further added. President Ghani also attended a banquet arranged by Saudi Ruler King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.
