Book Exhibition Held in Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Afghan publishers’ book exhibition was held yesterday on the threshold of Nawroz international festival to be held in Afghanistan in 2014.
Nawroz festival will be held next years in Afghanistan with participation of leaders and authorized representatives of Nawroz zone countries.
The exhibition was held in national gallery on the threshold of Nawroz festival.
In a ceremony which was held on this occasion first Faizullah Muhtaj, head of Behaqi book publisher spoke and said, “Nearly 27 book publishers are operating in Kabul and their books have been put in four international book exhibitions in the regional countries.” Following, Nabi Farahi, deputy minister of information and culture spoke and said, “Ministry of information and culture is honored to have the responsibility of cultural committee directorate for upcoming Nawroz international festival, so the ministry is determined to launch a series of particular programs as publishing of books, holding exhibitions, theatrical shows, TV programs, feature films, music festival, seminars, night poem and introduction of old history of Nawroz in Afghanistan.”
“Based on decision made by UNESCO four years ago, Nawroz festival was recognized as an international festival, so the festival is held every year in one of the Nawroz zone countries” , Farahi added. Afghanistan will be honored to hold the festival next year and necessary preparations have been taken in this regard.
The exhibition will be open for three days to all interested.
