CE Meets UN Special Envoy To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with UN Special Envoy to Afghanistan at Sapidar Palace here in Kabul.
In the meeting, recent political changes in the country were discussed. UN special envoy to Afghanistan congratulated the country’s success and commitment of the international community in Brussels conference and expressed hope that the commitment of the international community for Afghanistan would accelerate efforts for peace and stability in the country.
UN special envoy to Afghanistan also congratulated successfully visit of the country’s chief executive to Saudi Arabia and considered it as a good example of Afghanistan government’s successes in its foreign policy.
In the meeting, latest military changes in the country and peace negotiations were also discussed. Afterwards, the country’s chief executive spoke related to developments and challenges of the government, the government’s achievements in Brussels summit and his visit to Saudi Arabia.
They also discussed in connection with Afghan refugees and returnees and the UN assistance and delivering necessary facilities to refugees.
According to another report, the country’s chief executive met with Finnish minister of foreign affairs at Sapidar palace yesterday.
