35 Militants Joined To Government, 70 Insurgents Killed, Wounded

Maimana (BNA) About 35 armed rebels have joined to government, 21 insurgents were killed, 49 wounded and 15 other have been captured during a  joint military operation led by Afghan security forces in Khawaja Sabz Posh district, northern Faryab province.
Abdullah Masoumi district governor of Khawaja Sabz Posh said BNA correspondent, the joint military operation led by Afghan security forces started in the district and ended with heavy casualties of Taliban militants.
According to another report, a clearing operation with leadership of General Abdul Rashid Dosutm First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was started in Pashtoon Koot district, Faryab province this morning.
It has been said, first Afghan security forces trying to release the policemen, those earlier were abducted by Taliban militants in the district.
