KABUL (BNA) Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rashed, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, met with IHH’s President Bulent Yildirim in Kabul.
In the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture accentuated the cooperation of Turkey in the sector of agriculture, and modernization of agriculture, livestock, and promotion is vital for this sector.
Mawlawi Rashed called on the institute to cooperate extensively in these fields, adding that the construction of standard cold store for fruits and vegetables and the import of seedlings with new and rich varieties from Turkey is one of the major needs of gardeners and farmers in the country.
“Civilization in Afghanistan is about agriculture, today we assume the support of Afghanistan, we are partners in production and agriculture, we have specialists to use its experience,” said IHH’s President Bulent Yildirim, while promising further aids.
It has been 20 years since the establishment of the IHH and it has been providing mostly humanitarian aid to Bosnia, Afghanistan and the Kashmir region. It has promised to continue its cooperation in the sector of agriculture, livestock and food in Afghanistan in the future.
