ANDSF’s Air & Artillery Attacks Leaves 19 Rebels Dead

KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) As many as 24 armed oppositions were killed and 19 more were wounded following air and artillery attacks carried out by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in southern Kandahar province.
Top commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA correspondent, the air and artillery attacks conducted by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces to annihilate army oppositions and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Khakriz and Maiwand district of the province.
According to another report, Afghan security personnel by discovering and naturalizing eight round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several bloodiest incidents in crowded areas of Kandahar province.
Taliban fighters are responsible for the foiled mine plantings, local officials said.
Meanwhile, a weapon storage belonged to Taliban group have been discovered by Afghan security troops in Kandahar province.
Some heavy and light weapons and mines have been seized from the weapon storage.
