Preparations Underway For Opening SAARC Festival In Bamyan

Kabul (BNA) Bamyan is determined to be declared as the first cultural center of SAARC member countries on June 05.
The province is nominated as SAARC cultural center in consideration to its historic and cultural civilizations.
According to provincial director of information and culture, Kabir Dadras, necessary preparations and security measures have taken in the past few months.
Dadras added SAARC opening ceremony would be for two days and foreign and domestic guest’s including ministers, deputy ministers and ambassadors in particular SAARC member countries had been invited and would be highly received.
He further said cultural programs would continue till end of current year and other seven programs would be also held in Bamyan.
Bamyan provincial director of information and culture hoped that SAARC member countries would open one of the organization’s sub offices in the province. Bamyan police chief assured of adopting serious security measures in the province, adding that Afghan security forces have been already deployed for better maintaining security of the festival.
