Kabul (BNA) Badakhshan is a remote, mountainous and less developed province with a vast area and located on the highest peaks and deep valleys of Hindukosh Mountains.
Roaring rivers, diverse mines and untouched underground resources, medicinal herbs, warm water springs, different birds and animals each unique in its kind, have given outstanding reputation to Badakhshan.
Badakhshan has twenty seven administrative units. If someone intends to travel from east to west and from north to south based on the itinerary of Naser Khesraw, it will take thirteen days and nights to reach his destination. This province has a long and common border with Tajikistan, China, Keshmir and Pakistan and bordered with Nooristan, Panjsher and Takhar provinces. Armed insurgents usually crossing borders of Pakistan and Nooristan and disturb peaceful life of people and cause headache, tension and insecurity and disputes, clashes and destruction and casualties.
Armed insurgents are currently accommodated and established headquarters in Werduj, Jorm, Yemgan and Shiwah in east and south of Badakhshan and from these locations they arrange cross border escalations. For few years, the armed insurgent groups have been using Topkhana, Singlich and Jukhan areas to establish contact with insurgents in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan for supply of warfare’s, weapons and ammunitions via Pakistan borders.
These insurgents are involved in planning and implementation of their subversive activities with support of their masters. The foreigners’ main objective and long term strategy in the region is launching military operations and escalations, insecurity of roads, creation of destruction and towards Silk Route corridor through Badakhshan and even Afghanistan. In this strategy the foreigners and local insurgents follow the same goal.
They are trying to prevent and hinder this vital national, historical development program through creation of insecurity, collisions, problems and social regional differences and prevent or disturb construction of Silk Route highway at any possible cost and stop rebuilding of our country and its prosperity and change this historical commercial route to the avenue of death with their subversive and hostile activities. It is one of the NUG obligations and responsibilities of make serious efforts and take urgent steps for building of silk route through ensuring full security, peaceful process and removal of obstacles, so to eliminate insurgents in the region and destroy their capability for resistance, their fortifications and remobilization. So security prevails, because people have given many and heavy sacrifices.
Its clear fact that tensions and continued wars, provocations and insurgency is the work of foreigners; they don’t want our country to be prosperous, secure and developed. Inside also certain hands and circles are involved. Badakhshan enjoys important strategic location and all heights and mountainous localities are under the influence of insurgents and provide accommodation, shelter, hideouts and tranches to insurgents. Khostak, Werduj, Qarghamenj, Yeshnama, Seena, Shovchan and Jukhan have deep long valleys and high peaks that could shelter insurgents for many years and provide them strategic facilities to organize their diabolical plans and achieve sinister goals. The NUG objectives and national strategy in this direction should include two following elements:
A: Full elimination of insurgents and cleaning of the area from their presence, ensuring complete security and tranquility in those areas.
B: Paving the way for construction and extension of Silk Route historical and commercial corridor and removal of obstacles in this development process.
