Job Opportunities Provided to 600 People in Kandahar

KABUL (BNA) Jobs were provided to 600 people with the launch of the clean-up project of Joy Lahore Grand canal in Kandahar Arghandab district on Friday.

According to the BNA report ministry of water and energy published a newsletter, this canal with the support of the Maritime Department of Arghandab district, with the presence of ACHRO and UNHRC delegation, officials, and tribe leaders have been started.

At the opening ceremony of the canal officials of the sub-districts, and administrators of Arghandab maritime, called the cleaning of the canal a great service to the evolution of agriculture in the country and assured the cooperation of the Islamic Emirate to implement such a project.

Meanwhile, the residents of the Arghandab district, religious scholars, and tribe leaders say this is such a great opportunity for the people, and they asked for more job opportunities from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The big canal (JOY LAHORI) is 20km with 4 meters in width, which will be cleared by 600 local people for a daily wage of 400 Afghani.
