Council Of Ministers Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the session of council of ministers was held yesterday at Sapidar palace in Kabul.
In the session, the country’s chief executive first said 22nd of Feb was coinciding with the uprising of Kabul people against former Soviet Union’s troops, adding that on this day Kabul residents raised their voice for their freedom for which a large number of residents were martyred. He wished paradise to all Afghan martyrs. Afterwards, the country’s chief executive enumerated the session’s agenda as follow: first, chairman of Breshna Shirkat would deliver the session recent report in connection with cutting Kabul electricity cable and reconnecting it. Second, MoF would brief related to retired and their rights. MoHE would report Afghan students’ problems in Turkey. Meanwhile, problems of Khost residents would be also discussed in the session. In the meeting, chief executive said a number of councils have been formed in the country besides ulema council, saying that they always supported the government. He said that he would have a special session with participation of a number of ministers and discuss in connection with holding a session with participation of civil society and religious ulema and the result would be declared to the nation. The country’s chief executive said he also had a meeting with disabled people, adding that no ministries have yet paid attention to appointment of disabled people and they have not stood on their commitment in this regard. He said he had instructed his colleagues in chief executive office to pay attention to disabled people’s participation according to the country’s constitution, adding that we would discuss in today’s session how to address their problems. Afterwards, Lt. General Abdullah Khan Habib chief of army staff for MoD briefed the session related to security situation, saying that Afghan national security forces have been able to destroy key centers of Daesh in the country’s east. He said 31 villages have been cleared from presence of Daesh in Shinwari and Durand line has been also closed by Afghan security forces in Shinwari bordering Durand line, adding that about 5000 families have returned their homes back.
