Afghanistan Upcoming Presidential Should Be A Person Acceptable To All People

Kabul (BNA) A number of elders and religious ulema of Kunar in a meeting with Hamid Karzai, president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan enumerated some problems of their province.
In this meeting which was held at presidential palace representing the others, head of Kunar provincial council Mia Hassan Adil, Haji Mohammad Rozi and Mawlavi Waliullah spoke and assured of any cooperation of Kunar people, adding by setting up Afghan Local Police (ALP) in the province, security has been further maintained.
Therefore, the people in Kunar need for extension of ALP structures in the province.
The elders also complained of recent operations launched and searching of houses by Afghan coalition forces in the province.
They also asked for construction of a canal in Marwara district, a water dam in Manogai, a 300-bed hospital in Asadabad, capital city of Kunar and a carpentry factory.
The elders also stressed on extension of electricity wires from Sarobi dam to Kunar, distribution of lands to returnees and reconstruction of the roads in the province.
After hearing problems and demands of the elders, Hamid Karzai instructed a relevant official for solution of the province’s some problems and for solution and addressing of some other problems and demands, the president assured the elders of reviewing the problems in a session of the cabinet.
The president also spoke related to his recent trip to Pakistan and upcoming presidential election.
Stressing on holding a transparent presidential election, the country’s president said, “This is the right of all people to cast their votes to their favorite candidates through a fire and transparent election.”
He said the upcoming president should be a person who be acceptable to all people and never made use of government institutions for his personal goals.
