Special Committee To Be Set To Assess Kunduz Affected People

Wednesday October 7, 2015

Kabul (BNA) Presidential office has declared that a special committee would be set to review problems and creating coordination in aid to thousands of affected people displaced to neighboring provinces. Speaking to journalists yesterday in this regard, President’s deputy spokesman Zafar Hashimi said the committee was tasked to review and create better coordination in connection with steps and assistance provided by traders and people to Kunduz affected people. Terrorists have destroyed and set public locations and government infrastructures into fire so that the people couldn’t have access to public services including health, education and electricity, Hashimi said, adding armed terrorists have destroyed all public infrastructures including hospitals and governmental buildings during the days of their dominion on Kunduz. Presidential office says after regaining the province by the country’s security forces, the government’s main priorities are to provide aid to the affected people and delivering foodstuffs and electricity. Serious fighting has been going on between armed terrorists and security forces for a week in Kunduz where 5000 residents have been displaced so far and needed urgent aid.
